Apple Leak Seems to Validate AirPods Pro 3

A recent revelation suggests that Apple could be preparing to launch the AirPods Pro 3 soon.

As reported by 9to5Mac, new information emerged on X (formerly Twitter) earlier this week, indicating development activity for the next iteration of Apple’s premium earbuds. Analyst Aaron Perris shared a code snippet that seems to allude to the forthcoming AirPods Pro 3. Initially labeled as “AirPods Pro 2nd Generation,” the code has been revised to “AirPods Pro 2 or later,” hinting at the possibility of a third-generation model in the works.

Although Mashable has not confirmed the legitimacy of the screenshot independently, the timing aligns well. The current AirPods Pro 2 were launched in 2022, with a USB-C version arriving in 2023. Despite being on the market for some time, the AirPods Pro 2 continue to be a favored option among wireless earbuds, consistently achieving high ratings in reviews.

This leak has ignited speculation that Apple might present the AirPods Pro 3 at the forthcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. However, this remains uncertain. Traditionally, Apple has revealed prior AirPods Pro models in the autumn, with the company typically adhering to its established product release schedules. Nonetheless, the updated code indicates a new version is indeed forthcoming.

Even if the AirPods Pro 3 are not showcased at WWDC, the event is anticipated to be filled with significant announcements—most notably, the introduction of iOS 19, which is rumored to feature a major redesign and new functionalities.

In summary, although fans may have to be patient for the next-gen AirPods Pro, there is still a lot to anticipate from Apple in the upcoming months.
