Connecting to hotel Wi-Fi can often be quite annoying. Usually, you must complete a web form—which frequently requires your email address—just to access the internet. Even more frustrating is that you need to go through this process for every single device you bring along.
Apple aims to make this task easier, and we may not have to wait too long to see the outcomes.
Per a report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, as noted by 9to5Mac, Apple’s forthcoming iOS 19 will feature a capability that automatically synchronizes public Wi-Fi credentials across all your Apple devices. This means you’ll only have to fill out the login form once—after that, all your additional devices will connect automatically, saving you both time and trouble.
It remains uncertain how this feature will function precisely or if hotels and other public Wi-Fi providers will need to make adjustments on their side. Nevertheless, it’s a promising enhancement, particularly for travelers managing several devices—or families with numerous gadgets to connect.
Apple is anticipated to reveal iOS 19 in June, with a public launch expected in September. Besides the Wi-Fi syncing feature, the new operating system is said to include an updated design, improvements to Apple Intelligence (including a more capable Siri), a revamped Health app, and more.
