Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max might come with surprising enhancements to their cameras. As reported by MacRumors, a source familiar with an ongoing Apple iPhone advertisement has revealed some upcoming features.

The upcoming iPhone Pro variants are likely to boast an enhanced telephoto lens offering up to 8x optical zoom, a step up from the 5x optical zoom available on the iPhone 16 Pro variants. The devices are also set to introduce a new Camera Control button located on the top edge, facilitating quick access to the camera. If accurate, this button will be in addition to the Camera Control button present on the bottom right, which was introduced with the iPhone 16 versions.

Moreover, Apple intends to unveil a new professional-grade camera application for photography and videography, similar to applications like Halide, Kino, and Filmic Pro. This software could either be a standalone product or an enhancement of the current Final Cut Camera application.
