Apple’s Truly Intelligent Siri Set to Launch Next Spring, According to Reports

Apple’s AI-augmented Siri is anticipated to debut in spring 2026, as per a recent report. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman mentions this is Apple’s “internal release objective” for the “postponed upgrade” of Siri. Apple aims to unveil this revamped Siri alongside the iOS 26.4 software update. The initial iOS 26 beta was made available to developers following Apple’s 2025 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) keynote. While iOS 26 rolled out many new Apple Intelligence functionalities, Siri stayed relatively the same. Some forthcoming features were revealed at Apple’s WWDC 2024, which include Siri’s capability to identify on-screen content and offer tailored responses. This update is anticipated next year, according to Apple’s senior vice president of software engineering, Craig Federighi. In an interview during this year’s WWDC, Federighi shared that complications emerged when attempting to integrate two distinct Siri architectures. Bloomberg’s report indicates that Apple may reveal some new features with the new iPhone release this autumn, although the schedule might shift.
