Overview: Young people can sign up for Prime for Young Adults at no charge for six months — perfectly timed for Prime Day.
Beginning Tuesday, June 17, Amazon is bringing back its Prime for Young Adults initiative, enabling individuals aged 18-24 to register for a no-cost six-month Prime trial. Following the trial period, they can access all Prime membership advantages at a 50% reduction.
Once the six months have passed, Prime for Young Adults will be priced at $7.49/month or $69/year.
This initiative rebrands Prime Student, intentionally launched to enhance membership numbers ahead of Prime Day in mid-July. The announcement was originally made on November 25, 2024, featuring the same trial offer and discount, aligning with Black Friday.
Amazon Prime is a successful membership scheme providing benefits such as complimentary delivery and access to Prime Video. Prime for Young Adults is more expansive than Prime Student, serving young individuals who are not continuing their education post-18.
Prime Student and Prime for Young Adults both include various advantages:
- A complimentary six-month trial
- 50% discount on Prime membership benefits post-trial
- Lower rates of $7.49/month or $69/year
- Free Grubhub+ with no delivery costs
- 5% cash back on beauty, fashion, electronics, and personal care items
- 10% cash back on selected products during Prime Day
- Exclusive deals, cash back enhancements, and unique experiences all year round
- Free cloud storage via Amazon Photos
You can now sign up for Prime for Young Adults — if you meet the requirements.
