SHOP NOW: As of October 29, you can acquire the latest Amazon Echo Studio. It represents Amazon’s most sophisticated smart speaker, now equipped with Dolby Atmos.
On September 30, 2025, Amazon unveiled a fresh lineup of Echo gadgets tailored for Alexa+. This new AI-driven voice assistant provides more than mere music playback. Alexa+ is now capable of engaging in conversations or organizing a date night. To enhance its cutting-edge features, Amazon launched the Echo Dot Max, Echo Show 8, Echo Show 11, and Echo Studio. The Echo Studio stands out as the brand’s premier speaker, showcasing a larger design and Dolby Atmos.
The Echo Studio has undergone its first update in six years, having initially debuted in 2019. The 2025 edition presents a revamped appearance. As noted by Mashable’s tech editor, Timothy Bech Werth, the revamped Echo Studio bears a resemblance to the Death Star with its circular orb shape and flat control interface. The front panel features straightforward controls for volume and disabling voice commands. It is encased in a new 3D knit fabric and comes with a 1.73-inch front-firing speaker.
The speaker delivers spatial audio and Dolby Atmos, making it superb for music playback and creating a surround sound atmosphere for home theaters.
Amazon’s largest speaker without a screen, the Echo Studio, measures 6.1 inches by 5.8 inches. It’s marginally bigger than the earlier flagship Echo, which seems to have been phased out.
Following a month-long preorder phase, the Amazon Echo Studio is now on the market for $219.99, positioning it as the second most expensive device in the Echo series.
