Season 2 of The Last of Us has officially launched on Max. To celebrate the comeback of this eagerly awaited sci-fi drama, Entertainment Reporter Belen Edwards spoke with the creative team — producers Craig Mazin, Neil Druckmann, and Halley Wegryn Gross — as well as cast members Bella Ramsey, Gabriel Luna, Young Mazino, Isabela Merced, and Rutina Wesley.

During the interview, the team talked about how Joel and Ellie’s universe has broadened with the addition of new characters and narratives that differ from the original video game. Among the subjects discussed were Maria and Tommy’s son, Ellie’s close friends Dina and Jesse, and a surprising new character in the series: Joel’s therapist, Gail, portrayed by Catherine O’Hara.

The Last of Us Season 2 is now available for streaming on Max, with fresh episodes being released every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
