Ben Stiller Lightheartedly Talks About His Season 1 Appearance on the Official *Severance* Podcast

Ben Stiller is not only the director and executive producer of *Severance*—he also made a secret voice cameo in Season 1.

In a 2022 interview with [ET Online](https://www.etonline.com/the-severance-cast-on-ben-stillers-secret-cameo-and-hopes-for-season-2-exclusive-182370), *Severance* stars Britt Lower and Dichen Lachman disclosed that Stiller provided his voice for the animated depiction of Lumon Industries founder Kier Eagan. This animated Kier is featured in Season 1, Episode 8, “What’s for Dinner?” to commend Helly (played by Lower) for meeting her quota.

Nevertheless, Stiller has been playfully noncommittal about acknowledging his part. In a conversation with [What to Watch](https://www.whattowatch.com/features/ben-stiller-promises-severance-season-2-will-answer-key-questions-fans-have-as-he-teases-new-series), he quipped, “I’m not sure if we’ve ever confirmed that I’m the voice of Kier Eagan; Lumon employee contracts are very strict!”

On the January 15 episode of *The Severance Podcast with Ben Stiller & Adam Scott*, Stiller revisited the cameo in a lighthearted dialogue with co-host Adam Scott and guest John Turturro. During this episode, they aired the clip of animated Kier Eagan commending Helly: “In refining your macrodata file, you have brought glory to this company, and to me, Kier Eagan. I—I love you,” Kier states before soaring off into the sunset.

Following the clip, Scott joked with Stiller, remarking, “So, Ben, that voice sounds quite familiar.” Turturro added, “Some guy…” Stiller brushed it off lightly, humorously suggesting, “This is some actor they brought in to voice the congratulatory animated video. Definitely an out-of-work actor who needed the job… A guy who got a couple of callbacks for *Severance* but couldn’t land a part.”

Later in the podcast, Stiller lauded Marc Geller, who portrays the live-action version of Kier Eagan. “He’s such an integral part of the show, and so dedicated to it,” Stiller expressed. “He’s just fantastic.” Turturro concurred, adding, “I’m in the show, and I saw [him] and thought, ‘No wonder [Irving] was a believer.'”

*Severance* Season 2 premieres on January 17 on Apple TV+, with new episodes rolling out weekly.
