Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds Set to Release at Month’s End: Important Information

Bose revealed in June that the new QuietComfort Ultra earbuds would be arriving shortly, and they are now nearly available.

Beginning August 28, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds (2nd generation) can be preordered for $299 on Bose’s website. They will officially launch on September 10 in white smoke and black, with the deep plum version set to come out in October. Retailing at $299, their price aligns with that of their predecessor.

What’s fresh with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra (2nd generation) earbuds?

The initial model of the QC Ultra earbuds was deemed the best noise-cancelling earbuds by the Mashable team, praised for their comfort during long usage. The primary downside was their challenge in being removed from the case.

In spite of the first generation’s success, Bose is bringing enhancements to the new earbuds. Here’s what to look forward to:

– Advanced AI noise suppression for improved voice clarity during calls (whether using one or both earbuds)
– Wireless charging case
– Upgraded adaptive noise cancellation, featuring smoother transitions from Aware Mode to noise cancellation with ActiveSense
– Ability to switch off touch controls
– Ear tips designed with a guard to prevent wax accumulation and facilitate cleaning

The design of the earbuds and their case largely remains the same as the previous generation, keeping the classic stability bands and ear tips. The six-hour battery life (four hours with Immersive Audio), IPX4 water- and sweat-resistance rating, 20-minute quick charge for up to two hours of usage, CustomTune sound calibration technology, and Bluetooth 5.3 multipoint connectivity also stay unchanged.
