Best Buy has announced its intention to host a ‘Black Friday in July’ event from July 7-13, coinciding with Amazon’s Prime Day festivities from July 8-11. A representative from Best Buy informed Mashable that the event will showcase discounts on TVs, laptops, headphones, video games, electric bikes, and more. For the first time, “Doorbusters” will be part of the sale, mirroring its Black Friday deals from last autumn.
Fresh deals will be introduced daily throughout the event, accessible in-store, on the website, and via the Best Buy mobile app. Mashable is currently seeking confirmation regarding whether any promotions will be exclusive to members of the My Best Buy loyalty program.
Best Buy has previously conducted summer sales to compete with Prime Day, but this year Amazon has lengthened Prime Day to four days. Target and Walmart have also executed similar promotions in the past, but have yet to announce plans for 2025.
