What does your musical preference look like? Or, maybe, how does your lollipop resonate?
These queries have just gained significance as a company introduced a lollipop at CES 2026 that also serves as a loudspeaker.
Dubbed the Lollipop Star and created by the Indian firm Lava Brand, this one-of-a-kind fusion isn’t a speaker you buy once to last for years. Instead, they’re budget-friendly, quick, delightful treats that play a melody while you savor them.
At just $9 apiece, these are difficult to pass up. The company has partnered with international pop stars for the tunes, and each Lollipop Star, priced at $8.99, will feature its own rhythm, taste, and ambiance. For instance, there’s a peach-flavored lollipop that plays tunes from Ice Spice, or a blueberry-flavored version that plays Akon.
So, how does it function? Lollipop Star employs bone conduction technology to transmit sound, with the components concealed in the stick. When you bite into the lollipop, vibrations move from your jaw to your inner ear. You might not expect superior sound quality, but at nine dollars each, it’s affordable. It’s a type of product that’s almost impossible to resist once your kids first come across it.
Lollipop Star isn’t on the market yet, but it is expected to debut after CES. If you’re interested, you can check the company’s website and sign up for the waitlist to get updates about the product.
