CES 2026: Shokz Unveils New OpenFit Pro with Noise-Canceling Innovation

Open earbuds are capturing interest at CES 2026. JBL initially launched a range of products, succeeded by Anker Soundcore’s dual-form open earbuds. Shokz, a significant contender in the open earbuds sector, is also presenting a new product aimed at enhancing the open earbud audio experience.

Introducing the Shokz OpenFit Pro. These earbuds mark Shokz’s first venture into open-ear noise reduction, aimed at diminishing environmental noise for improved sound clarity. As of Jan. 6, they can be preordered in black and white on Shokz’s website and Best Buy for $249.95. Shokz has announced that they will be available on Amazon beginning in March.

With CES 2026 in full swing, firms like Shokz are unveiling a variety of new offerings. Check out the Mashable CES 2026 hub for the newest updates.

Shokz OpenFit Pro noise reduction technology

The standout feature of the OpenFit Pro is an enriched listening experience. This includes the Open-Ear Noise Reduction technology that decreases outside noise for enhanced audio enjoyment. Users can toggle this feature using on-ear controls or the app, with adjustments made through the app. At the default power setting of 50 percent, Shokz claims noise is reduced by around 12 to 16dB, akin to Loop Engage 2 earplugs.

This feature permits users to utilize their earbuds in diverse settings, such as gyms, workplaces, or bustling cafés. It’s crucial to understand that this is not equivalent to noise cancellation, which seeks to eliminate surrounding sound. The OpenFit Pros are engineered to preserve situational awareness while creating a quieter atmosphere for clearer music.

In addition to noise reduction, these Shokz earbuds are fine-tuned for Dolby Atmos, offering a spatial audio experience, and feature two speakers per ear for enhanced sound quality.
