Cloudflare is a service that “facilitates Internet requests for millions of websites and handles 78 million HTTP requests per second on average,” according to its website. Essentially, when Cloudflare experiences difficulties, the internet is impacted. Users on X are already reporting problems, and Down Detector, a platform typically used to monitor outages, seems to be encountering issues itself.
It is noteworthy that this is not the first incidence of significant issues for Cloudflare. Large segments of the internet were disrupted in June due to Cloudflare’s problems, causing complications for users of Twitch, Etsy, Discord, and Google.
