The title of A24’s *Death of a Unicorn* indicates that a splendid unicorn faces doom. The [initial trailer](https://mashable.com/video/death-of-a-unicorn-trailer-a24) not only showed the unfortunate demise of the unicorn (a heartbreaking hit-and-run) but also identified those at fault: a father-daughter team, Elliot (Paul Rudd) and Ridley (Jenna Ortega).

Yet, the second trailer presents an even more shocking revelation—there isn’t just one unicorn, and they seek vengeance.

The footage opens with Elliot and Ridley driving through a sprawling nature reserve owned by the affluent Leopold family, portrayed by Richard E. Grant, Téa Leoni, and Will Poulter. This pristine environment has allowed mystical beings to flourish in secrecy—until one falls victim on the road. From that point, chaos reigns.

The Leopolds recognize a chance in the unicorn’s demise. If they can capitalize on its famed healing powers—particularly its alleged connection to immortality—they could reap significant profits.

“We have a moral obligation to collect every single one,” Poulter’s character asserts.

However, the unicorns are not going down easily. Among them is a fearsome dark unicorn, thirsting for vengeance. The trailer hints at an impending unicorn-driven bloodbath, setting up for an outrageous and bloody confrontation.
