Discord Checkpoint: The Spotify Wrapped for Your Gaming Lifestyle – Discover How to Access Yours

Discord has launched its inaugural personalized year-end recap, highlighting the time spent conversing with friends over the past year. Dubbed Discord Checkpoint, it bears resemblance to Spotify Wrapped but is centered around gaming behaviors.

What is Discord Checkpoint?

Debuting on Dec. 4, Discord Checkpoint marks the app’s first-ever year-in-review feature. While it may not become an annual fixture, it commemorates Discord’s 10th anniversary. Plans for Checkpoint beyond 2025 remain in the works.

Discord Checkpoint offers insights such as hours spent in voice calls, top friends, favorite servers, most-used emojis, and popular games. Users can distribute their Checkpoints on Discord or take screenshots to share them elsewhere.

It is accessible to active users of 2025 who have turned on data personalization; new or inactive users will not receive a Checkpoint due to lack of data.

How to obtain your Discord Checkpoint

A notification for Discord Checkpoint is expected to show when launching the app on desktop or mobile. On desktop, click the flag icon located in the top right corner; on mobile, tap the You icon and select the green Checkpoint banner.

If the Checkpoint is not visible, confirm that the app is updated. The desktop app updates automatically when restarted, while the mobile app may require manual updates through the app store.

Viewing Discord Checkpoint provides a temporary decorative border for your profile picture, which will be available until Jan. 15, when Checkpoint is no longer accessible. Users without a Checkpoint can also get the frame by trying to view it.

Additionally, Discord released a summary of its year-end review, detailing the activities of its 200 million monthly active users. League of Legends retained its status as the most played game despite being older, while R.E.P.O. emerged as the leading indie game. The red heart emoji was utilized 2.18 billion times, followed by the sobbing emoji at 1.71 billion uses.
