Discovering LG’s Acclaimed Bendable 5K2K Gaming Display

LG Electronics is preparing to create a buzz at CES 2025 this January with the introduction of its much-awaited LG UltraGear GX9 series.

This new collection highlights two prominent models: the 45GX990A and 45GX950A. Both models are 45-inch gaming monitors featuring an ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio and an impressive 5K2K resolution. LG asserts that this distinctive ratio enhances the gaming experience by offering increased immersion, better compatibility, and more screen space. With their Dual-Mode capability, users can also modify the aspect ratio and adjust picture size to meet their preferences. These monitors are outfitted with curved display panels, elevated brightness levels, and features intended to minimize eye strain for a more pleasant gaming experience.

Building on the excitement, LG is unveiling the UltraGear OLED Bendable Gaming Monitor, which holds the title of being the first bendable OLED display in the world with 5K2K resolution. This cutting-edge monitor can switch from a completely flat screen to a notable 900R curvature in seconds, granting gamers unmatched flexibility.

“The UltraGear GX9 series establishes a new benchmark for OLED gaming monitors, merging pioneering display technology with intelligent features that broaden and enhance the user experience,” stated YS Lee, vice president and head of the IT Business Unit at LG Media Entertainment Solution Company, in a press release. “From the world’s first 5K2K OLED gaming monitors with second-generation Dual-Mode to smart gaming monitors featuring integrated webOS, the GX9 lineup expands possibilities to provide maximum value and enjoyment for our clientele.”

While LG has not yet disclosed additional information, such as pricing and launch dates, further details are anticipated to be announced in 2025. Stay tuned for updates on this innovative gaming technology!
