Elon Musk Addresses Stock Decline as Trump Announces He’ll Purchase a Tesla to Assist

**Tesla Stock Plummets Amid Controversy**

Tesla’s stock is undergoing a notable fall, marking its worst trading day since September 2020. The electric vehicle leader, spearheaded by Elon Musk, has witnessed its entire post-election market gains completely vanish.

In the wake of the market slump, Musk took to social media after trading hours on Monday to address the issue. In reaction to a post that highlighted Tesla’s most significant single-day stock declines, he calmed investors by asserting, *”It will be fine long-term.”*

Despite Musk’s hopeful outlook, Tesla seems to be grappling with major obstacles. An escalating boycott movement has surfaced due to Musk’s connections with former President Donald Trump and far-right political figures. While Musk’s earlier endorsement of Trump may have helped Tesla in the short run, the association now appears to be pushing away potential customers.

Musk’s role as a special government employee in the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has only intensified the controversy. His involvement in dismantling governmental programs and agencies has garnered criticism from numerous Americans and global observers.

Consequently, Tesla’s international sales have nosedived, with markets like Germany reporting an astonishing 76% decrease in purchases. Moreover, some Tesla owners have purportedly sold their vehicles to disengage from Musk’s political views.

The backlash has also unfolded in public protests, with demonstrations springing up at Tesla showrooms around the globe. In certain instances, the atmosphere has escalated to vandalism, with activists targeting Tesla cars and charging stations.

To address the mounting controversy, Trump has intervened to defend Musk and Tesla. On Monday evening, he alleged that activists were conducting an “illegal and collusive boycott” against the company, referring to Tesla as Musk’s *”baby.”*

To show his support, Trump declared his intent to buy a new Tesla the following morning. However, as of Tuesday, there has been no confirmation that he completed this commitment.

In the meantime, Musk has been actively engaging with his supporters on social media, personally expressing gratitude to figures like conspiracy theorist Alex Jones for their outspoken backing of Tesla. Comedian Rob Schneider also voiced his support, proclaiming, *”I FULLY, 1000 PERCENT SUPPORT DOGE AND I AM BUYING MORE TESLA STOCK!!”* Musk replied to Schneider’s post with a heart emoji.

As Tesla maneuvers through this chaotic phase, the company’s destiny remains uncertain amid dwindling sales, public pushback, and persistent political turmoil.
