Leigh Janiak’s celebrated and nostalgia-filled slasher trilogy, Fear Street, emerged as a prominent streaming success in 2021. This summer, the spine-tingling tale comes back with a fresh installment set in 1988, once more taking cues from R.L. Stine’s cherished horror stories.
Netflix has released the official trailer for Fear Street: Prom Queen, following a teaser made public earlier this year. Directed and co-written by Matt Palmer, the movie takes place just days prior to Shadyside High’s senior prom, where the competition for prom queen is fierce — until the top contenders start to die under mysterious circumstances.
The cast features India Fowler, Suzanna Son, Fina Strazza, David Iacono, Ella Rubin, Chris Klein, Ariana Greenblatt, Lili Taylor, and Katherine Waterston.
Fear Street: Prom Queen debuts on Netflix on May 23.
