Final Chance: Acquire Authentic Switch Consoles Before Nintendo Raises Prices

This is your final chance to acquire the original Nintendo Switch consoles before prices rise on Aug. 3.

On Friday, Nintendo revealed an upcoming price increase for the Nintendo Switch 1, Nintendo Switch OLED Model, Nintendo Switch Lite, and certain accessories. While the exact amount of the increase wasn’t disclosed, a prominent Nintendo fan account on X spotted elevated prices at Target. If this information is correct, the new prices will be:

– Nintendo Switch 1, originally $300, now $339.99
– Nintendo Switch OLED Model, originally $350, now $399.99
– Nintendo Switch Lite, originally $200, now $229.99
– Nintendo Joy-Con 2 controllers, originally $95, now $100

These increased rates haven’t yet taken effect at other retailers, providing gamers with approximately 48 hours to purchase the console at the current price.

Currently, all three consoles are available at Walmart for their original prices. Unfortunately, the new Switch 2 is set at $449. While it has frequently been out of stock, a recent restock has altered that situation. However, if the $449 price tag seems excessive, the original Switch continues to be an excellent gaming choice.
