Garmin smartwatches faced a disruption early Wednesday, resulting in many users being unable to utilize essential features.
There was a surge in reports regarding Garmin Connect, the online platform that supports the smartwatch ecosystem, on [Down Detector](https://downdetector.com/status/connect-garmin/) as users experienced difficulties. The outage seemed to reach its highest point around 7 a.m. ET, likely impacting east coast runners aiming to digitally outline their routes or monitor their performance in early morning workouts.

Thankfully, the disruption was brief. By around 9:30 a.m. ET, the issue appeared to be rectified, with Down Detector reports decreasing to nearly zero. Garmin’s [status page](https://connect.garmin.com/status/) indicated that all services and features were back “online.” Earlier that morning, The Independent reported that these same services had been labeled as “offline” during the outage.
