Subscribers to the $19.99 monthly Google AI Pro plan or the $250 Google AI Ultra subscription have received a notable upgrade. As reported by 9to5Google, Google has introduced enhancements for paying subscribers, providing an increase in daily Gemini prompts.
Google AI Pro users can now utilize 300 daily prompts with the Gemini Thinking model, while the Pro model, tailored for advanced mathematics and coding, permits 100 daily prompts. For subscribers on the $250 plan, the updated limits include 1,500 daily prompts for the Thinking model and 500 for the Pro model.
Previously, with the introduction of Gemini 3, Google AI Pro users faced a combined limitation of 100 daily prompts across both models, while AI Ultra subscribers had a 500 daily prompt cap. The revised limits now distinguish between the two models, removing the shared prompt pool.
Free Gemini users also have specific daily limits, although Google has not revealed these figures, mentioning that limits for the free tier may fluctuate daily.
Google addressed user feedback regarding the “shared pool” model. “We’ve listened to your input!” Google stated. “Many of you desire enhanced precision and transparency in selecting which model to utilize for your daily tasks. To provide you with greater flexibility and control, we are differentiating the model limits for ‘Thinking’ and ‘Pro’ models.”
This transition from shared limits is sensible, particularly if the models necessitate varying levels of computing power. As AI companies vie for dominance, modifying subscription plans to cater to paying customers is a straightforward approach to gain a competitive advantage.
