Google is utilizing Goat Simulator 3 to educate agents powered by Gemini.

Google has developed an AI agent capable of playing video games, such as Goat Simulator 3, which features a goat-centric theme. According to MIT Technology Review, Google DeepMind’s SIMA 2, referred to as a “scalable instructable multiworld agent,” is currently exploring Goat Simulator 3. SIMA 2 builds upon the original SIMA, previously highlighted by Mashable. Its purpose is to serve as a companion in video games, functioning as an AI player that aids human gamers, akin to the Copilot function in the ROG Xbox Ally X gaming handheld. SIMA 2 represents an upgraded iteration of its predecessor.

Joe Marino, a researcher at Google DeepMind, indicated that games have historically propelled agent research, as mentioned by MIT Technology Review. SIMA 2 is designed to learn and evolve within intricate, open-ended gaming environments, with human players helping to direct and improve its capabilities.
