Certain **Google Maps** users are now presented with additional choices for personalizing their vehicle icon during navigation.

In the past, Google Maps offered a selection of just four icons: a standard arrow, a red car, a yellow SUV, or a green truck. However, as reported by **9to5Google**, some Android users are now receiving notifications regarding “early access to personalize your vehicle icon’s style [and] color.” When they enter driving directions, a message prompts them to configure their ride “your way.”

There is a considerable increase in customization options being introduced. Users can now choose from five new vehicle types: an off-road pickup, a sports car, a sedan, a hatchback, and an SUV. Moreover, eight new color options are on offer: white, black, gray, red, blue, yellow, green, and purple.

We had earlier discussed **Google Maps’ intended icon upgrades** for iOS in November, but these modifications are now being made available to Android users. The updated icons can currently be accessed by Android users utilizing the **Google Maps beta version 25.06.x**.
