**Google Maps is Introducing Additional Customization Features for Drivers**

Users of Google Maps who drive are soon going to receive even more options to customize their navigation experience.

Four years after Google initially allowed users to modify the look of their vehicle on the navigation interface, the tech company is broadening those possibilities, as reported by *Android Police*. A forthcoming update to the Google Maps application will permit users to select from five new vehicle designs, such as a hatchback, a Jeep, and a model resembling a Tesla. Furthermore, eight new color choices will be accessible, empowering users with greater control over the visual representation of their car within the app.

In the past, users were limited to four selections: a standard arrow, a yellow SUV, a red car, and a green pickup truck. With this update, there will now be eight vehicle options (including the arrow) and eight color choices available for each. It’s important to mention that *Android Police* was only able to access this functionality on the iOS variant of Google Maps, and it’s not widely rolled out yet. However, since Google is the creator of Google Maps, it’s probable that the Android version will receive this update shortly as well.
