Greenland 2: Migration Clip Showcases Gerard Butler Leaping into Action

The comet referred to as Clarke still has unresolved business with Earth, and the latest clip from Greenland 2: Migration provides a haunting preview of what lies ahead.

In the gripping post-apocalyptic suspense film Greenland, a world-ending comet compelled family man John Garrity (Gerard Butler), his spouse (Morena Baccarin), and their child to leave behind everything they cherished, seeking safety in a bunker located in the eponymous country. However, who truly wishes to spend their life confined to a bunker?

Greenland 2: Migration picks up five years following the events of the original film. Although Earth has survived Clarke’s crash, the planet remains intact. There’s even speculation that the crater created by the largest comet fragment has transformed into a natural haven with fresh water, pure air, and lush landscapes (catch the pun?). Yet, accessing this paradise is the true hurdle.

Butler and Baccarin reprise their roles as husband and wife, accompanied by Roman Griffin Davis (Jojo Rabbit, The Long Walk) portraying their diabetic son, Nathan. In this new clip from Greenland 2: Migration, it becomes clear that the comet fragments still orbiting Earth pose fresh terrors. As indicated by the trailer, the Garrity family confronts a variety of new dangers in their continuous struggle for survival.

Helmed by Ric Roman Waugh, Greenland 2: Migration is set to premiere in theaters on Jan. 9.
