Valentine’s Day takes a gruesome twist in *Heart Eyes*, a fresh slasher film helmed by Josh Ruben (*Werewolves Within*) and brought to life by the creators of *Scream*.

Featuring Olivia Holt (*Totally Killer*) and Mason Gooding (*Scream*), the film chronicles a couple whose sweet Valentine’s Day aspirations are interrupted by the Heart Eyes Killer. This masked villain, notorious for his heart-shaped eye holes and fatal heart-tipped arrows, reappears every February 14 to prey on unsuspecting romantics. The trailer aptly labels him as “Cupid, with a twist.”

As the love-despising killer spreads chaos, no pair is secure. But might Holt and Gooding’s characters be the ones to finally put an end to his reign?

*Heart Eyes* hits theaters on February 7.
