### What is *Connections*?
The *New York Times*’ newest word game has taken social media by storm. Associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu is acknowledged for her role in designing *Connections* and introducing it to the *Times*’ Games section. You can engage with *Connections* via both web browsers and mobile devices. The goal is to categorize four words that have something in common.
Each puzzle features 16 words, and players are tasked with organizing them into four distinct categories. These categories can vary from book titles to software names, country names, and beyond. Although some words might appear to belong together, there is only one correct grouping.
When you successfully group four words, they will disappear from the board. However, mistakes count against you, allowing up to four errors before the game concludes.
Players also have the option to scramble the board to better identify connections. Each group is represented by a different color: yellow for the simplest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Similar to *Wordle*, you can share your outcomes with friends on social media.
