This year, however, certain companies have scaled back their support, posting less often or refraining entirely.
This shift comes in the wake of heightened political pressure from the Trump administration on private firms to dismiss diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) language and initiatives. Beyond the tech sector, businesses like Anheuser-Busch and Deloitte have also diminished or withdrawn their backing of Pride celebrations, as reported by the New York Times.

To evaluate how the tech sector is recognizing the event, Mashable analyzed newsroom and social media updates from Amazon, Apple, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and TikTok for June 2024 and the early part of June 2025. Our focus was on their primary accounts on Facebook, Instagram,
