**Election Day is Upon Us: How to Monitor Live Results on Your iPhone**
It’s Election Day, and countless Americans are making their way to the polls to select the next President of the United States. While some individuals are choosing to cast their ballots, switch off their devices, and steer clear of the news for an extended period, there are others who find themselves constantly checking their screens for live updates as the votes roll in.
Regardless of how you handle the stress of this election season, iPhone users will have a simpler method of tracking the results of the 2024 U.S. presidential election. With Apple News delivering live election updates straight to your Home and Lock Screens via its Live Activities feature, users can remain updated without needing to refresh various news outlets. Whether this serves as a valuable asset or increases stress levels varies based on individual outlook.
The Live Activities feature of Apple News will showcase a widget on your Lock Screen, reflecting the real-time electoral tally as changes occur. This allows you to stay informed about the election without the necessity of unlocking your phone. Additionally, updates will also be visible on your Home Screen, with *Apple Insider* indicating that these will appear on the *Dynamic Island* for supported iPhones. The Lock Screen widget will be interactive, granting users the ability to tap and quickly access the latest election information.
