Hugging Face, a firm recognized for its advancements in machine learning that has recently expanded into robotics, is planning to launch a new humanoid robot called HopeJr, possibly by late 2025.

The HopeJr robot emerges from a partnership between Hugging Face and The Robot Studio, which has published a more extensive video of HopeJr on YouTube. This video was filmed during the Humanoids Summit in London, where HopeJr was presented in its complete form for the first time.

HopeJr is anticipated to begin shipping certain units by the end of 2025, with Hugging Face projecting a price around $3,000. (The Robot Studio’s YouTube video description states the price as €3,000.)

Notably, this robot is open source, granting users greater flexibility compared to a proprietary product.

Let’s just wish that nobody misuses it for harmful intents.
