So you’re contemplating whether to purchase a Roomba this Black Friday. The good news is that many of the 2025 Roombas are expected to reach unprecedented low sale prices this month (indeed, some Black Friday Roomba offers are already available). The downside is that the 2025 Roombas haven’t been performing well in sales this year, and iRobot may not be around much longer.
That’s why I penned a detailed article advising caution to anyone interested in a Roomba on discount this year — I go into further detail about iRobot’s challenges there. Here’s the summary: If bankruptcy is on the horizon for iRobot, I have concerns about whether customer support, firmware upgrades, and bug fixes will still be available for current Roomba users. And although I’ve generally had positive experiences testing Roombas, the latest iRobot vacuums just don’t match the power of other leading robot vacuums available at similar or better prices.

Regardless, I believe there are still enthusiastic members of the Roomba fanbase looking to enhance their Roomba experience this Black Friday. In fact, Mashable readers voted iRobot their preferred robot vacuum brand of 2025 in Mashable’s Readers’ Choice poll. Below, I’m compiling the handful of early Black Friday Roomba deals — not only factoring in the discount but also whether that vacuum holds decent value alongside Roborocks, Sharks, and Eufys from my broader list of the best Black Friday robot vacuum offers.

What I appreciate about it
At $399.99, the Roomba Plus 405 is competitively priced for a mid-range robot vacuum mop combo capable of cleaning and drying its mopping pads. I tested the 405 among four new Roombas in 2025, and its edge cleaning with dual spinning mopping pads was vastly superior to the retractable flat mopping pad on the Combo j7+ and Combo 10 Max. The 405 also navigated my apartment without any issues or mistakes, and iRobot’s smart mapping has been reliable for me even prior to their transition to the LiDAR tower design in 2025.
My primary complaint regarding the Roomba Plus 405 is its absence of small obstacle avoidance technology, which iRobot included in the Roomba Plus 505. It’s difficult to overlook that the $359.99 Narwal Freo Pro and $349.99 Roborock Qrevo possess technology that can maneuver around cords, laundry, and pet waste, especially since their mopping and suction capabilities are comparable to this Roomba’s.
Additional Roombas on discount ahead of Black Friday
iRobot Roomba 105 — $149 (save $30)
iRobot Roomba 105 + AutoEmpty dock — $249.99 (save $200)
iRobot Roomba 105 Combo — $169 (save $50)
iRobot Roomba 105 Combo + AutoEmpty dock — $269.99 (save $200)
iRobot Roomba 205 DustCompactor Combo — $269.99 (save $200)
Note: While the Roomba 105 series provided acceptable cleaning performance in my home, I would still advise opting for more powerful budget-friendly Roborock alternatives like the Roborock Q7 M5+ for $219.99 or the Roborock Q10 X5+ for $299.99.
Roomba offers to pass on this year
Allow me to dissuade you from purchasing a few Roombas that are currently on sale. I found some that remain excessively priced compared to other robot vacuums with equivalent (or superior) features. Instead of opting for the Roomba Max 705, Roomba Max 705 Combo, or Roomba Combo 10 Max, look into the Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller for $999.99, the Narwal Freo Z10 Ultra for $799.99, or the Roborock Qrevo CurvX for $849.99.
