It’s been more than three years since the finale of Euphoria’s season 2 was broadcast, but we finally have our initial glimpse at footage from Season 3.
The videos are part of HBO Max’s promotional reel for their 2026 lineup, which also features the Westeros-set series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and House of the Dragon, the DC series Lanterns, and the return of the Emmy-winning medical drama The Pitt.
In the Euphoria trailer, narration from Rue (Zendaya) indicates that several years have passed since high school. “I don’t know if life turned out to be exactly what I wanted,” she states.
Next, we see images of where Euphoria’s cast — many of whom have risen to movie stardom since Season 2 concluded — find themselves now. At an event in London, Euphoria creator Sam Levinson disclosed major plot developments following the show’s five-year time leap. Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Nate (Jacob Elordi) are engaged and residing in the suburbs, which doesn’t clarify why she’s seen in a dog costume in the teaser. Jules (Hunter Schafer) is attending art school, while Maddy (Alexa Demie) and Lexi (Maude Apatow) are making strides in Hollywood.
As for Rue, she finds herself in significant trouble. Still indebted to drug dealer Laurie (Martha Kelly) from Season 2, she’s on her way to Mexico to settle her debts. Judging by the brief clips in the sizzle reel, she’s in for a rough journey.
Watch the complete trailer above to prepare for whatever Euphoria has in store for us next. Additionally, catch a sneak peek of other forthcoming HBO series, like Baby Reindeer creator Richard Gadd’s new show Half-Man and the Steve Carell comedy Rooster.
