Intense Trailer: Andrew Scott and Brendan Fraser Star in Chaotic World War II Drama

Did you realize that a weather prediction nearly altered the trajectory of World War II? This is the authentic narrative at the center of the forthcoming drama *Pressure*, helmed by Anthony Maras and featuring Andrew Scott alongside Academy Award winner Brendan Fraser. Maras collaborated with David Haig on the screenplay.

Fraser portrays General Dwight D. Eisenhower, who is merely 72 hours away from initiating the D-Day invasion of Normandy. It will mark the greatest amphibious invasion in history, with the potential to secure victory for the Allied Forces against the Axis.

However, for the landings to proceed without a hitch, Eisenhower and the myriad of Allied soldiers will require ideal conditions. Enter Captain James Stagg (Scott), a British weather expert. Eisenhower consults him for the forecast for D-Day, and Stagg’s results are far from promising.

As depicted in the film’s trailer, Stagg warns that two fierce storms are on the horizon. Should the Allies proceed with the invasion now, the Axis forces will pale in comparison to their primary threat — it’s truly Mother Nature they need to reconsider. Eisenhower now faces a tough decision. Should he go ahead with D-Day as planned, he risks a disastrous outcome against the storms. Alternatively, if he postpones the invasion, he may jeopardize the outcome of the entire war. The pressure is mounting — and I’m not merely referring to the atmospheric pressure within the storm systems.

*Pressure* additionally features Kerry Condon, Chris Messina, and Damian Lewis. *Pressure* premieres in theaters on May 29.
