Apple is already shifting its attention towards iOS 27 and the highly awaited foldable iPhone, even as the launch of iOS 26 approaches. Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter indicates that Apple is emphasizing its efforts on iOS 27 development, with a focus on features tailored for the foldable device anticipated next year. Nevertheless, Gurman reassures users that iOS 27 will continue to deliver cutting-edge user interface upgrades.
The foldable iPhone is expected to be a high-end offering, with a rumored cost of $2,000, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. It is predicted to omit Face ID in favor of Touch ID to save space and will adopt a book-style fold, differing from Samsung’s flip-style. Gurman points out that Apple’s design decisions are shaped by the preference for book-style foldables in the Chinese market.
