**X Experiences Continuous Outages Due to Alleged Cyberattack, According to Elon Musk**
**Updated: March 10, 2025, 2:37 p.m. EDT**
Today has been chaotic for X, with the service facing numerous crashes and recoveries. Elon Musk has attributed these interruptions to a significant cyberattack.
“There has been (and continues to be) a considerable cyberattack on 𝕏,” Musk shared on the platform. “We face attacks daily, but this was executed with a great deal of resources. A large, organized group and/or a nation may be involved.”
Earlier today, X was unreachable for many users across desktop and mobile. Reports of service disruptions began to emerge around 9:30 a.m. ET, as indicated by a sharp rise in user complaints on [Down Detector](https://downdetector.com/status/twitter/). (Note: Down Detector is a part of Ziff Davis, the parent company of Mashable.)
Attempts to access X on both desktop and mobile devices were unsuccessful, with feeds unable to refresh. Users on other platforms, like Bluesky, also reported similar outages.

By around 10:30 a.m. ET, X began showing signs of recovery. Posts started loading once more, though at a slower pace than normal, and reports of problems on Down Detector began to diminish. Nevertheless, the platform’s stability remains in question as Musk indicates that the attack is still in progress.
