Helmed by David Ayer (*The Beekeeper*, *Suicide Squad*) and based on Chuck Dixon’s novel *Levon’s Trade*, *A Working Man* features Statham as Levon Cade, a former black ops agent who has swapped his perilous former life for a more subdued existence as a construction laborer. Nonetheless, when the daughter (portrayed by Arianna Rivas) of his dependable boss (Michael Peña) is abducted, Levon must revive his deadly skills to confront human traffickers and unscrupulous officials in a high-stakes extraction operation. The screenplay for *A Working Man* was co-penned by Ayer and Sylvester Stallone.
The film’s initial trailer highlights Statham in his prime, executing fierce takedowns with construction equipment, including a pickaxe and a bucket. Audiences also catch a glimpse of David Harbour (*Stranger Things*), who plays one of Levon’s former military allies and his go-to “weapon expert.” Anticipate numerous gun battles, hand-to-hand brawls, and heart-racing action.
*A Working Man* hits theaters on March 28.
