When he hasn’t been occupied venting on Truth Social about matters such as his Time magazine cover image, Donald Trump is engaged in promoting watches to his followers.
In the video above, Jimmy Kimmel shows a segment of one of the president’s commercials, where Trump urges people to purchase one of his watches since “Christmas is approaching.”
“I’d like you to simply close your eyes at this moment and envision Lincoln in front of a flag, marketing top hats,” remarks Kimmel. “And at least he donned top hats; Trump doesn’t even sport a watch. I mean, seriously.”
The late-night host proceeds to reference a review from a customer who claimed they ordered a watch that still hadn’t arrived after five months, remarking that it was unfortunate the company wasn’t “adhering to President Trump’s [sic] elevated standards.”
“I have unfortunate news for you, honey; they’re adhering precisely to Trump’s elevated standards,” Kimmel states. “Mr. made-in-America and his associates assert the watches boast premium, Swiss-made materials, but most experts seem to believe they are probably manufactured in China. I hope he faces the consequences of his own tariffs.”
