KPop Demon Hunters continues to dazzle as the acclaimed Netflix film snags Golden Globes for Best Animated Feature Film and Best Original Song for the timeless hit “Golden.”
On Sunday night, directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, along with producer Michelle Wong, accepted the award, recognizing their authentic female characters such as HUNTR/X’s Rumi, Mira, and Zoey.
“Our gratitude goes to the Golden Globes and everyone who believed that a film so deeply embedded in Korean culture could connect with a worldwide audience,” stated Kang onstage. “With this movie, we aimed to depict female characters as we perceive them: powerful and fearless, goofy and quirky, and always craving food — and occasionally a bit thirsty.”
