Google has introduced the Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14, labeling it “the most sophisticated Chromebook Plus yet” with premium specifications. It features two distinct AI capabilities and provides 12 complimentary months of Google AI Pro, giving access to advanced AI tools such as Veo 3 Fast, Gemini 2.5 Pro, and Flow.

The 14-inch clamshell device is driven by MediaTek’s latest high-performance Kompanio Ultra processor, which includes an NPU with up to 50 TOPS for improved AI efficiency. This enables more AI operations to be executed locally instead of relying on cloud processing. Additionally, it is the first Chromebook Plus to incorporate ARM hardware.

The Chromebook Plus 14 features two specialized AI software functionalities: smart grouping for organizing open tabs by their purpose and AI image editing within the Gallery app. It provides up to 17 hours of battery life per charge, making it the most enduring Chromebook Plus model.

The gadget has a fanless design that measures 0.62 inches in thickness, weighing under 2.6 pounds. Notable specifications include a 16:10, 400-nit 2K OLED display with an optional touchscreen, quad speakers featuring Dolby Atmos, a 5MP webcam accompanied by a privacy shutter, a backlit keyboard with an optional fingerprint scanner, support for two external 4K displays, WiFi 7, 12 to 16GB of RAM, up to 256GB of UFS storage, and color choices of Seashell and Lunar Gray.

Later this month, the Chromebook Plus 14 will become available in two configurations at Lenovo and Best Buy for $649 and $749.

– A “simplify” tool in “Help me read” for breaking down complex text.

All Chromebook Plus models now include 12 complimentary months of Google AI Pro, valued at $239.88, offering 2TB of cloud storage and access to features like Gemini 2.5 Pro, Flow, and Veo 3 Fast.
