Liv Hewson, celebrated for their portrayal of Van Palmer in “Yellowjackets,” has captured the interest of Mashable’s entertainment team. In a “Say More” discussion, Entertainment Editor Kristy Puchko asked Hewson about their preferred films and television series. Having grown up in Australia, Hewson conveyed a fondness for American television, ranging from “The Simpsons” and “The Americans” to “The Real Housewives,” even attempting a unique Housewives catchphrase.
When it came to movies, Hewson revealed their passion for the Muppets and the Oscar-winning “Everything Everywhere All At Once.” These influences motivate the non-binary actor, who recently garnered the Rising Star Award from the Critics’ Choice Association’s Celebration of LGBTQ Cinema and Television. Hewson contemplated how these works influence the types of projects they wish to be a part of.
Concerning “Everything Everywhere All At Once,” Hewson expressed, “I would do anything to be involved in something like this. It’s consistently projects where I sense that everyone involved has what they need to create it, is invested in making it, and is excited to work on it.” They continued, “That’s the vibe I genuinely strive to bring to the things I’m associated with. It’s the atmosphere I’m eager to foster and engage in. And I adore practical effects.”
