Logitech Introduces Solar-Powered, Repairable Keyboard

In search of a wireless keyboard that harnesses the energy of nature and your own efforts? Logitech has an answer.

The company has recently launched the Logitech Signature Slim Solar+ K980, a solar-powered keyboard that can be repaired.

This brand new wireless keyboard from the Swiss company specializing in computer peripherals is now on the market and features some fascinating attributes. It comes with a solar cell that Logitech asserts can last for up to a decade. Furthermore, it’s built to be repairable, as stated by The Verge. Logitech informed The Verge that the keyboard is enclosed in a plastic casing that is user-friendly for repairs, and replacement parts can be sourced through iFixit, a platform partnering with various tech companies to provide parts for a wide range of devices.

Notably, the keyboard can operate under artificial lighting, not solely relying on natural sunlight. Thus, even in the absence of direct sunlight in your workspace, you can maintain its power.

Besides its solar and repairable characteristics, it resembles a standard wireless Logitech keyboard. It features labels for both Mac and PC buttons and includes a new dedicated key for activating your operating system’s default AI assistant or ChatGPT, if you prefer.

The Logitech K980 keyboard is priced at $99.99 and is presently available on the Logitech website.
