M3GAN 2.0 Teaser: Twice the Mayhem!

In 2023, M3GAN enthralled fans with its mix of playful horror, infectious dance routines, and a scene-stealing artificial intelligence doll. Now, the eagerly awaited sequel, M3GAN 2.0, is raising the stakes — this time, there are two lethal AIs on the rampage.

The trailer for M3GAN 2.0 unveils a fresh menace: Amelia (portrayed by Ivanna Sakhno), a military-grade AI developed with the same revolutionary technology that animated M3GAN (Amie Donald, voiced by Jenna Davis). As Amelia becomes increasingly self-aware, her thirst for blood escalates, endangering all of humanity. Who are her targets? M3GAN’s creator Gemma (Allison Williams) and her niece Cady (Violet McGraw).

Following the events of the initial film, Gemma has taken on the role of a passionate advocate for AI regulation. However, upon confronting a new, more menacing AI, she discovers that the only way to combat one lethal robot… is with another. That’s correct — M3GAN is back, sporting a sleek new physique, a fierce makeover, and several enhancements. She’s stronger, quicker, and indeed — taller. Everything a girl requires to take down a cutting-edge superweapon.

The trailer teases a wealth of sass and spectacle, featuring sharp quips like “Hold onto your vaginas” and a confrontation dubbed “this bitch vs. that bitch” — Amelia taking on M3GAN. Devotees of the original will enjoy the references to M3GAN’s online stardom, including a scene where a fan in a blonde wig exclaims, “I don’t care if she did kill four people, she is a smoking hot warrior princess!”

And to be honest? She is. We’re poised for her next performance.

M3GAN 2.0 is produced by Blumhouse Productions and brings back the original creative team, with Gerard Johnstone returning as writer-director and James Wan (Saw, Insidious) producing. The cast also features Brian Jordan Alvarez, Jen Van Epps, Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp, and Jemaine Clement.

M3GAN 2.0 is set to premiere in theaters on June 27.
