The MCU is poised to self-reflect in the forthcoming Disney+ miniseries Wonder Man, brought to life by Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton and Community writer Andrew Guest. The trailer indicates that we’re in for a lot of genuine entertainment. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II portrays Simon Williams, an actor in pursuit of his career-defining opportunity when a superhero part emerges. Who better to assist him than Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley), who was last seen as The Mandarin in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings? Notably, it appears Simon is acquiring real powers.
