The latest teaser for *A Minecraft Movie* is filled with clever details that *Minecraft* enthusiasts will notice. Audiences can see characters utilizing a water bucket to cushion their landing, a chicken jockey appearing in the midst of a battle, and a baby panda popping up when two grown pandas share bamboo.
In addition to these entertaining nods, the trailer also gives a more detailed glimpse into the film’s storyline. *A Minecraft Movie* centers on four humans—portrayed by Jason Momoa, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, and Sebastian Hansen—who find themselves transported to the Overworld, a realm constructed entirely from cubes. The block-like design remains disconcerting, particularly when it comes to living beings such as villagers and sheep.
Although the Overworld may appear to be a fanciful realm, it is under grave threat. Master builder Steve (voiced by Jack Black) has uncovered a portal to the Nether, where piglins and their merciless leader, Malgosha (voiced by Rachel House), dismiss creativity and aim for control. To save the Overworld, Steve must join forces with the four newcomers to thwart the invasion.
In honor of the trailer’s debut, U.S. fans who buy tickets via Fandango will receive an exclusive jetpack add-on for *Minecraft: Bedrock Edition*. Similar deals will be accessible globally through local ticket sellers.
*A Minecraft Movie* hits theaters on April 4.
