After more than ten years since the initial game’s launch and three years post its formal reveal, Monaco 2 has at last made its eagerly anticipated premiere.
The latest cooperative heist title from developer Pocketwatch Games and publisher Humble Bundle was released on Thursday, April 10. It’s now priced at $24.99 on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Monaco 2 expands on the legacy of its predecessor, delivering a vibrant, isometric universe adorned with a whimsical, cartoon-inspired visual style. Players can jump into the fun solo, in local split-screen, or with friends in online co-op.
In Monaco 2, players select from a lineup of distinct characters, each equipped with unique skills and roles tailored for various heist tactics. As is typical in a captivating heist narrative, plans can swiftly fall apart, compelling players to think quickly to adjust, survive, and flee with the treasure. The original Monaco, which debuted in 2013, received widespread acclaim, and initial feedback on Metacritic indicates that the sequel is being welcomed with comparable excitement.
Coming next from Humble Games is Lost Skies, crafted by Bossa Games. This third-person survival adventure features both solo and cooperative gameplay, set in a breathtaking realm of floating islands and airships. With features like tree-chopping and grappling hook navigation, Lost Skies aims to provide an immersive experience for enthusiasts of exploration and survival. It is set to release in Early Access on Steam on April 18.
