Most Affordable Cybertruck Variant Taken Down from Tesla’s Site

Months after its debut, the most budget-friendly Cybertruck has been taken down from Tesla’s website, according to reports from Electrek and others. The rear-wheel drive variant, referred to as the Long Range, was listed at $69,990. Tesla rolled out this model in April, and as noted by Engadget, it came in at $10,000 above the originally anticipated price. Several features, including active suspension and a rear seat touchscreen, were left out of the Long Range variant compared to higher-end models.

As of now, the only Cybertruck variants available on Tesla’s website are the All-Wheel Drive, commencing at $72,490, and the Cyberbeast, starting at $114,990. Tesla has recently increased the price of the Cyberbeast by including a mandatory “Luxe Package,” which covers Full Self-Driving, four years of premium service, unlimited supercharging, and “premium” connectivity.

While the rear-wheel drive Cybertruck is not up for order on Tesla’s site, Tesla’s AI assistant still supplied Mashable with details regarding the Long Range Cybertruck and even proposed arranging a test drive. Nevertheless, the link for additional information exclusively displayed the All-Wheel Drive and Cyberbeast models.

It remains unclear whether Tesla has definitively discontinued the Long Range model or if its removal is only temporary. Mashable has reached out to Tesla for further clarification.
