Attention all Severance enthusiasts! If you’re craving some Choreography and Merriment, your wish is granted. Mashable presents an exclusive first glimpse of the inaugural physical release of Theodore Shapiro’s Severance Season 2 score.
This release is provided by the Austin-based pop culture art, music, and collectibles boutique Mutant, in partnership with Lakeshore Records and the Severance production entity Fifth Season.
Pressed on 140gm special color vinyl, the deluxe version of Shapiro’s Emmy-winning Season 2 score arrives in a custom Lumon envelope adorned with artwork by Greg Ruth, showcasing seven double-sided character illustrations and a printed inner sleeve.
Moreover, the release features “exclusive in-universe ephemera” that any Severance admirer will recognize. Included are printouts of the “Missing” Gemma (Dichen Lachman) posters created by Irving (John Turturro), his sketch of the ominous hallway leading to the Testing Floor, and the note he left for Dylan (Zach Cherry). Also included is an Innie Resignation Request form and a goat-themed eye chart. Completing the ephemera is a collection of postcards inspired by the motivational posters Lumon produced for the Severed Floor.
“The music for Season 2 of Severance stays true to the essence of Season 1 while also introducing fresh themes, sounds, and variations,” Shapiro remarked. “The season’s daring expansions into new narratives and locations, combined with outstanding filmmaking and performances, fueled much of the inspiration.”
