The announcement, appropriately made on a Wednesday, arrives two weeks prior to the Aug. 6 debut of Wednesday Season 2, highlighting Netflix’s trust in the series.

In its initial season, Wednesday proved to be a massive success, becoming the most-watched English language program on Netflix ever. Overall, it’s the second most streamed series in the platform’s history, trailing only Squid Game.
