On July 31, during a Nintendo Direct livestream, Nintendo unveiled a variety of forthcoming games for the Switch 2, alongside several titles for the original Switch. The event featured games from partners such as Sega, Ubisoft, and EA Sports.

A highlight was the unveiling of a new trailer for *Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment*. This highly anticipated game takes place in Hyrule and delves into the events that lead up to the *Tears of the Kingdom* game. Nintendo confirmed a winter release, with additional details to be announced.

The event also featured teasers for forthcoming titles like *Hela*, where players take on the role of an endearing mouse and a witch’s familiar on a mission to heal his cherished mistress. Teasers for well-known titles such as *Apex Legends*, *Borderlands 4*, and the *Yakuza* series were presented as well.

Nintendo Direct: New games heading to the Switch 2

During the livestream, more than a dozen games were announced for the Switch 2, Switch 1, or both. Some are remakes of classic titles (*Yakuza Kiwami*), while others have already been available on other platforms (*Star Wars Outlaws*).
