Nintendo Direct for Switch 2: When, What Time, and Viewing Instructions

In January, Nintendo validated what fans had eagerly anticipated: the Nintendo Switch 2 is indeed in development. At that point, the company assured that more information would be shared shortly — and that time has now arrived.

Nintendo has revealed a Nintendo Direct livestream set for Wednesday, April 2 at 9 a.m. ET. The event will be streamed live on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel, and it’s anticipated to provide a deeper insight into the eagerly awaited Switch 2.

Although Nintendo hasn’t specified the duration of this particular Direct, previous presentations generally run around 40 minutes — especially when there isn’t a new console to showcase. Therefore, it’s reasonable to expect that this one could be even longer.

Regarding the content of the livestream, we can only conjecture at this point. At the very least, fans are hoping for an announcement regarding the Switch 2’s price and launch date. It’s also likely we will be treated to a series of trailers for upcoming titles, in addition to a preview of games available at launch.

Aside from a brief glimpse of a new Mario Kart game revealed during January’s announcement, there’s minimal confirmation on what else may be presented during the event. However, with the date fast approaching, the anticipation is nearly at its end.

Prepare yourselves — significant news is on the horizon.
